This popup form can be accessed via the add menu in the top header area of the organisation view page, as shown in Figure 1. Alternatively you can add to other portfolios, from theĀ portfolio view page‘s Portfolios tab, shown in Figure 2, to create a hierarchy of portfolios.

This popup is shown in Figure 3 and is used to add a new portfolio for the selected organisation or portfolio.In Figure 3 above, the form has been broken down into three sections:
Section 1 | This section contains a selection of important top fields: Organisation: This read-only field shows which organisation you are adding the new portfolio to. Portfolio: This read-only field is only available if you are adding another portfolio to create a hierarchy of portfolios, and shows the name of the parent portfolio of the one currently being created, in our example the portfolio is being added under the organisation level so we do not have this field in our form. Name*: This is a mandatory field where a unique name for this portfolio can be entered. Add more: Select this check box if you’d like to keep the form open and add more portfolios. |

Section 2 | These are the tabs that you can cycle through to edit each section of the portfolio.When you navigate to a new tabbed view in this popup, any information entered in Section 3 from the previous tabbed view will be saved. This means you do not need to click on any buttons to save each tab, but can instead click on the Add button at the bottom of the popup when you wish to add your new portfolio with the set details. |
Section 3 | This information will change as you cycle through the tabs shown in Section 2, and the available fields will change accordingly. A breakdown of the field information for each tab is provided below. |
Tab breakdown
The following information provides a breakdown of each of the tabbed views that may be available for you to set the portfolio’s details under each section.Details
Here you will be provided with one Description field where a description of the portfolio can be entered.Weightings
This tabbed view is where you can set the weighting for this portfolio for each of the indicators. If you are adding a sub-portfolio then it will default to the indicator weightings from its parent portfolio.Indicators
Note: This tab will only be visible if you have indicators defined for your organisation, and those indicators have Portfolios listed as an associated class.Here you can assign the indicator values from the drop-down list of each indicator. Once you are happy with your selection click the “Add portfolio” button at the bottom of the form. This will add a new portfolio with the information that you supplied.Once you’ve added your portfolios they will appear in the Portfolios tab at the parent asset’s view page, as shown in Figure 4.Figure 4 – Newly added portfolio
Click the “Cancel” button if you no longer want to add a new portfolio.
