You can record any materials that you are going to need against tasks on your project. The materials are scheduled with the task so if the task moves the date the material is required by moves as well. You can also set a lead to for ordering materials. You can see a summary of all the materials for a particular project or for a particular vendor. This information can be used to optimise your ordering process.
